Rev. James H. Dean, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri accepted Christ at the age of four and rededicated his life at the age of twelve.  Dean accepted his call to the ministry in 1985.  For a number of years, he headed the Youth Ministry and also served as an Associate Minister at Paseo Baptist Church, Kansas City, Missouri under the leadership of Dr. Charles Briscoe.  Ordained since 1991, Rev. James Dean holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pastoral Studies from Calvary Bible College, and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Calvary Theological Seminary.

 

In the fall of 2012, with the health related absence from the pulpit of Founder and Senior Pastor Rev. Russell W. Davis, Rev. Dean was asked to temporarily serve Christ’s Church of the Jesus Hour as Interim Pastor.  His dedication to, and genuine love of the congregation was quickly displayed.  His humble desire to continue the work of God in the manner established by Pastor Davis was recognized and appreciated.  Following a Pulpit Committee search mid-2013, Dean was elected Senior Pastor of Christ’s Church of the Jesus Hour.  On September 22, 2013, Rev. James H. Dean, Jr. was officially installed as Senior Pastor, becoming the second Pastor in the Church’s 42 year history.

 

Dean, a veteran of the Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department is joined in service by his lovely wife and helpmate Deletta, son Carrington and daughter Danielle.
